Paneer Cheesy Kebab Recipe

Paneer Cheesy Kebab is made with the slices of cottage cheese and topped with veggies and cheese. The melting cheese creates a grooming taste in the kebab.

Ingredients

  • 500 gm paneer
  • 1 big onion cut into rings
  • 2 tomatoes cut into rings
  • 2 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1 cup thick curd
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 2 teaspoon tandoori masala powder
  • 2 tablespoon fresh milk cream
  • 1 tablespoon cashew nuts and almonds paste
  • 8-10 cheese cubes
  • Little bit of chaat masala
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Take a chopping board and cut the brick of paneer into thick slices. From 1/2 kg paneer you will be able to make 8-10 slices.
  2. In a mixing bowl combine curd, ginger-garlic paste, cashew nuts-almonds paste, salt, red chilli powder, cumin powder, tandoori masala and fresh lime juice. Mix well.
  3. Divide this marinated mixture into equal parts of the paneer slices and spread evenly on each slice of paneer. Sprinkle little bit of chaat masala.
  4. Arrange 2 rings of onion and 2 rings of tomatoes on top of the marination. Sprinkle little bit of salt and pepper powder. Spread little bit of cream over the veggies also grate a full cube of cheese on the top.
  5. Preheat the oven at 250F degrees for about 4 minutes. Now lets prepare a baking tray. Take a foil paper and spread little bit of oil. Place these cheesy paneer slices on the baking tray and bake for about 10 minutes.
  6. Check if the cheese start melting, then take out from the oven and cut into two equal parts.
  7. Serve this kebab with coriander or mint chutney accompanied by cabbage salad.

Notes

Cut the paneer in thick slices, else it would be difficult to arrange the marination and veggies on thin slices of paneer.

Chef Tips:

  1. You may use slices of the cheese as well.
  2. Garam masala can be used instead of tandoori masala.
