Pumpkin Pickle Recipe

Pumpkin Pickle is a lip smacking pickle recipe, contains the fresh fragrance of fenugreek seeds and mustard oil. You can store this pickle for many days and serve as and when you wish to have it with Indian meal.Pumpkin Pickle

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups peeled and chopped pumpkin
  • 3 tbsp fenugreen seeds (coarsely grounded)
  • 3 tsp Red chili pepper (Lal Mirchi)
  • 1/2 cup Salt (Namak)
  • 4 tsp fenugreek seeds (coarsely ground)
  • 2 tsp Turmeric (Haldi)
  • 1 cup Mustard Oil (Sarson Ka Tel)

How to make Pumpkin Pickle:

  1. Cut the pumpkin with skin into long slices.
  2. Place them in warm water for about 20 minutes.
  3. Put in a strainer to drain the water and cool.
  4. Mix all the ingredients with oil and rub on the pumpkin pieces.
  5. Put in a clean jar and leave in a warm place for 4-5 days.
  6. Shake it well once daily until tender.
  7. Serve after5-6 days.
