Ingredients:

  • 4 big onions (peeled and sliced)
  • 2-1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1-1/2 cups mustard oil
  • 5 tbsp black mustard seeds
  • 3 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 10 big green chillies
  • 1/2 tsp ascorbic acid
  • 20-25 cloves garlic
  • 3 inch ginger (finely minced)
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1-1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 2 tsp turmeric powder

How to make Pyaaz Ka Achar :

  1. Heat mustard oil in a big frying pan until it reaches to the smoking point.
  2. Turn the gas off and set the oil aside to cool.
  3. Combine the mustard seeds, chili powder, turmeric, vinegar, sugar, salt and blend together to make a fine paste.
  4. Mix the prepared paste in mustard oil and stir in with remaining ingredients.
  5. Stir to mix well and store in sterilized jar covered with a film of oil.
  6. Keep for 3-4 weeks refrigerated.
