Ingredients:

  • 6 pavs (Paus / Bakery Bread)
  • 1 tbsp crushed garlic
  • 1 inch ginger chopped
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 capsicum, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds (rai)
  • Few curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp dry mango powder
  • 2 tsp oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • Salt to taste

Masala Pav Recipe

Masala Pav Recipe is made with Bakery Bread cooked in onion, tomatoes and some mild herbs. It is one of the main street food of Mumbai and very easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 6 pavs (Paus / Bakery Bread)
  • 1 tablespoon crushed garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ginger chopped
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 tablespoon capsicum, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds (rai)
  • 1/2 teaspoon curry leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mango powder
  • 2 teaspoon oil
  • 2 tablespoon fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add curry leaves and mustard seeds.
  2. When the seeds starts spluttering, add chopped onion, ginger, garlic and green chillies.
  3. Saute on a low flame just for a few seconds and quickly mix chopped tomatoes.
  4. Mix in salt to taste and add remaining spices.
  5. Continue mixing for a few seconds.
  6. Cut the pav from center and arrange in the pan in such a way that prepared masala should stuffed inside the pav and leave some masala outside the pav as well.
  7. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve yummy.

Notes

You can add butter for buttery flavor.
