Ingredients:Gobi Smila Mirch Recipe

  • 250 gm cauliflower (gobi / gobhi)
  • 2 big capsicum
  • 1 potato (peeled and cubed in small pieces)
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes chopped
  • 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 4 green chillies finely chopped
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp dry mango powder
  • Salt to taste

How to make Gobi Simla Mirch :

  1. Separate the cauliflower florets, also chop the capsicum in some slices.
  2. Heat good amount of in a frying pan to shallow fry the veggies.
  3. I haven’t used potatoes, but if you want you can add that as well.
  4. Shallow fry the capsicum and cauliflower florets.
  5. Drain on oil absorbent paper and set aside.
  6. Remove the oil from the frying pan by leaving only 1/2 tsp of oil.
  7. Add mustard seeds and green chillies.
  8. Saute and add ginger-garlic paste.
  9. Saute for few more seconds by adding chopped onion.
  10. Stir fry until onion translucent and then add chopped tomatoes.
  11. Mix some salt and spices.
  12. Stir fry over moderate heat till the mixture little bit thickens.
  13. Now add fried vegetables and mix well.
  14. Reduce the flame and cover the pan.
  15. Leave to cook for about 4 minutes until vegetables are done.
  16. Taste and season with salt and spices, if required.
  17. Serve hot with Indian roti/ naan/ puri or paratha.Gobi Smila Mirch Recipe
