Aloo Mutter Korma Recipe is made by following the Traditional style of preparation. Here Potatoes and Green Peas are cooked together in Korma Gravy and Spices. It is one of the healthy option of making green peas at home. Because they are crammed with good amount of fibre.

Ingredients required for making Aloo Mutter Korma Recipe:

  • 4 big potatoes, boiled, peeled and cut into cubes
  • 2 cups fresh green peas, boiled
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 4 green chillies, fine chopped
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
  • 1/4 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp amchur (dry mango powder)
  • 1 cup water or vegetable stock
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves, fine chopped
  • Salt to taste

How to make Aloo Mutter Korma Recipe:

  1. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan / kadhai.
  2. Add cumin seeds and dry roast for about 10 seconds on moderate heat.
  3. Add chopped onion and stir fry till the onions turns little brown.
  4. Add green chillies, ginger and garlic paste.
  5. Cook for few seconds and simmer the flame.
  6. Add chopped tomatoes and little bit of salt.
  7. Cook for another 3-4 minutes on low flame, till the tomatoes are cooked well.
  8. Add boiled potatoes, green peas, sugar and spices.
  9. Mix well and cook for 5 more minutes.
  10. Add water or vegetable stock and leave to cook, until few boils comes out.
  11. Taste the dish and adjust with salt, if required.
  12. Cook on simmer, till the gravy thickens.
  13. Garnish with chopped coriander.
  14. Serve hot with roti, naan, puri or paratha.
